David Cusack, also known as DM David C, or Lord Dread Raver, is a seasoned grognard with more than four decades of experience in the realm of tabletop role-playing games. He caught the D&D bug early when he stumbled upon the Greyhawk supplement in a strange corner of the local hobby shop. From 1978 to 1981, he delved into dungeons and slayed monsters sitting at a ping-pong table become battlefield, in a basement with musty shag carpeting, much like those kids in the beloved series “Stranger Things.” After a time, David explored the world of 2nd edition Advanced Dungeons & Dragons, then moved to Traveller, GURPS, and a plethora of other tabletop RPGs, finding his way back home to D&D with the advent of its 5th Edition. A tech-savvy enthusiast, he’s particularly passionate about the opportunities that virtual tabletops like Roll20 offer. David blends his old-school Dungeon Master style with modern technology. His fervor for teaching shines through in his sessions. He aims to provide a thrilling in-game experience and takes immense pleasure in introducing newbies to the 5th Edition of D&D and the nuances of playing whether in person or on virtual platforms like Roll20. As a professional Dungeon Master, David has run over 620 sessions, helmed ten long-term campaigns that reached the zenith of level 20, and guided over 250 players through their own epic tales.
